Grace That Leads Us Home

Sep 14, 2025

The Christian journey is filled with peril. There are temptations that allure, doubts that unsettle, griefs that crush, and enemies both visible and invisible that conspire to pull us from the narrow path. Were it left to our strength, we would not last a day. But we are not left to ourselves. There is a Keeper. These is One who is able not only to pardon our past but to present us faultless in the future. It is not we who hold onto grace, but grace that holds onto us.

Jude closes his short and urgent letter not with fear, but with triumph. He does not conclude with a charge to strive harder or watch more closely, though those things have their place. He ends with worship. Because the final word in the Christian life is no duty but doxology. It is not our effort that carries us cross the finish line. It is God's faithfulness. He who began the good work will complete it. Grace does not merely save us. It brings us all the way home.
