The Cross and the Empty Tomb

Oct 19, 2025

The cross and the empty tomb are the turning point of history. At the cross, Christ bore the full weight of sin, declaring with His dying breath, "It is finished." In that moment, justice and mercy kissed, and redemption's price was paid in full. But the story does not end in death, for the tomb could not hold Him. On the third day, the stone was rolled away, and life broke forth triumphant.

Tother, the cross and the resurrection are the foundation of the gospel. The cross without the resurrection would leave us with tragedy; the resurrection without the cross would give us no atonement. But in their union, we see both the dept of God's love and the height of His power. Here, sin is conquered, death is defeated, and eternal life is secured for all who believe.
