The Spirit and the Church

Oct 26, 2025

The coming of the Spirit of Pentecost was not a fleeting display of divine power but the inauguration of a new era. The same Spirit who hovered over creation and spoke through the prophets now descended upon the followers of Christ, igniting them into a living temple of God's presence. The Church was born, but by human ingenuity, but by divine breath.

From that moment, believers became a Spirit-filled community, devoted to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. Pentecost shows us that the Christian life is not meant to be solitary but communal, not weak but Sprit-empowered, not stagnant but ever-expanding. The Spirit creates the Church, sustains it, and sends it into the world as Christ's body.
