The Moral Argument
There is a profound truth that is a common experience of every person
that is alive today, and every person that has ever lived. God has left His fingerprints on
the very fabric of our being. He has woven a moral law deep within our hearts that calls
us to recognize right from wrong. This moral law, which speaks to us through our
conscience, points to the reality of a moral Lawgiver—our Creator, God Himself.
Though the world is filled with competing ideas and conflicting philosophies, there is a
simple, yet powerful truth that cuts through the confusion. This truth is found not in the
complexities of science or the nuances of logic, but in the clear and quiet voice of our
own moral experience. That experience tells us that certain things are right, and others
are wrong, no matter our desires, no matter our preferences. This is the moral law, a
divine compass, and it leads us directly to God.
